The Next Generation of PRP is Here. Have you been noticing more hair shedding than usual? Struggling with a receding hairline or bald patches? Platelet-rich fibrin matrix (PRFM), or what our team is calling next-generation PRP, therapy could be the answer you've been searching for to restore hair growth.
While both PRFM and PRP (platelet-rich plasma) utilize a patient's own blood components to promote healing and regeneration, there is one distinct difference.
PRFM therapy with Selphyl takes this process a step further by also capturing and compressing the fibrinogen from the blood sample into a fibrin matrix structure, or scaffold, for the platelets and growth factors to release into. This enables PRFM to deliver higher concentration of platelets, stem cells and natural growth factors compared to PRP alone - producing a thicker, longer-lasting reservoir to enhance healing for hair regrowth.
The result of the treatment is natural stimulation of growth factors moving towards the treated area. There are no known side effects of PRP, although you may occasionally experience minor swelling or pain near the injection points for a short period of time.
PRP has gained national attention recently due to the use by champion football players and professional golfers.

The treatment of PRP is relatively simple and can be completed within an hour. Blood is drawn from the patient (approximately 20cc). The blood is then transferred to a 30mm cylinder. The doctor immediately places the blood into a centrifuge for separation, which takes approximately 8 minutes. Once the Platelet Rich Plasma is separated, it is transferred to a syringe for injection.
